Hello,

My name is Dirar Flazi. I was born in Algeria, grew up in Syria, and have spent the last twenty years living between the UAE and Australia. I hold three nationalities: Syrian, Algerian, and Australian. I enjoy traveling and living in different places to experience new cultures.

I am a professional Web & Graphic designer with a self-taught skillset in Photography and Product Design. During my younger years, I also had some experience being in front of the camera, having appeared in a few television commercials and events, although nothing too serious. But I must say, I looked pretty good! 😊

To be honest, I have been more financially successful in sales than in any other profession so far. Most of the income I have made has come from my work in sales. You can read more about my sales career on my LinkedIn profile. However, it’s not always easy to make money from art.

I have a passion for art, and I enjoy various forms of photography, as evident from my diverse portfolio. In addition, I have a strong interest in 3D modeling and extensively studied Cinema 4D for two years, from 2015 to 2016. During this time, I produced many impressive renders and even sold some of my work online.

Due to the impact of Covid and some personal circumstances, 2020 brought significant changes to my life. My family and I departed from the city in February and spent a considerable portion of 2021 traveling on the road with our son and two cats.

During our six-month journey along the East Coast of Australia, towing a caravan, we covered approximately 4,000 kilometers and were fortunate to witness the incredible beauty of this part of the country.

Starting from Melbourne, Victoria, we concluded our trip at Forrest Beach in Far North Queensland. During our travels, I captured numerous 4K drone videos of the locations we explored or resided in, and edited and shared them on YouTube. The video of Forrest Beach was the first to attain 500 views in under three days.

When I started my photography business in Lucinda, Forrest Beach Hotel became my first major client during our six-month stay there. At first, I had trouble deciding on a name for the business, initially going with Drone NQ but eventually settling on Hinchinbrook Photography.

I had the opportunity to work on a project for Forrest Beach Hotel, which involved shooting a drone video of the property and filming an interview for Channel 7’s six o’clock news. The project was time-sensitive and needed to be delivered before 2:00 pm on the same day. Fortunately, I was able to deliver the edited footage on time, and it was published on a major TV network. I even got my 13 seconds of fame, starting from the 30th second of the video.

After six months in Lucinda, we returned to Melbourne in early 2022. I shifted my focus from photography to product design, spending most of my time working on Fusion 360 and later 3D printing. My primary objective was to create prototypes for my other venture, Cloud Riders Store.

Since September 2022, I have embarked on a solo trip to Europe, and for the past five months, I have been living in The Netherlands. During my stay, I have been immersing myself in Northern European culture and capturing countless photos to document my experiences.

In addition to The Netherlands, I have also visited Athens and traveled to London, Prague, and Berlin during my solo trip to Europe. I share daily photos from my journey on my Instagram account: @dirar_photos

‘ve been on trips before, but this one is certainly the longest, most focused, and best equipped. I have upgraded my lenses and DSLR to better ones, and have acquired additional gadgets such as lights and filters. While I’ve had good equipment in the past, during this trip I’ve been primarily shooting while on the move, whereas my 2017 trip to Europe and Oman focused more on underwater photography.

During my stay in The Netherlands, I was lucky enough to land a product photography contract that involved capturing incredible close-up shots of beautiful buds. To capture these images, I used a Sigma 70mm Macro Art lens on a Sony A7ii camera mounted on a Macro Focusing Rail. The final images were processed in LrC and focus-stacked in Ps to create stunning, detailed photos.

During this trip, I had the opportunity to take on some street portrait projects, which helped me improve my adaptability to different lighting conditions and quicken my camera skills. These experiences motivated me to specialize in portrait photography, and I plan to prioritize it more in 2023.

I have spent years studying Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop in order to be able to produce professional-looking images while shooting in unfavourable light conditions outdoors. In fact, I began studying Photoshop in 1999

Having worked in luxury car customisation in Dubai before relocating to Australia in 2011, I’ve always had a passion for cars and have taken numerous automotive pictures in the past.

I have photographed cars for individuals who wanted to sell their vehicles and for showrooms, with the pictures being used by graphic designers for various advertising purposes.

My Most viewed, Thank you Victoria 🙂

Recently, I’ve been dedicating myself to increasing my Instagram following to drive more traffic to my website, where I sell prints to generate revenue for future travels and photography. As a result, I’ve delved into various SEO techniques and mastered the use of Meta Professional Suites.
